PDSES–Approved Educational Support with DEAFt Educational Solutions
At Deaft Educational Solutions, we proudly support Texas families using the Parent‑Directed Special Education Services (PDSES) grant. Our programs help students strengthen academic, communication, and functional skills through personalized instruction designed for diverse learners.
Whether your child is Deaf or Hard of Hearing and needs targeted support in reading, writing, communication, executive functioning, or foundational academics, Deaft provides specialists who understand the unique language, cultural, and access needs of DHH learners. Our Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing deliver structured, evidence-based instruction and individualized strategies—focused on auditory access, visual language development, speech and language support, literacy techniques for DHH students, and classroom accommodations. We pair compassion with expertise to build confidence, independence, and academic growth through services tailored to each student’s communication modality and learning profile.

The PDSES Grant -
The Parent‑Directed Special Education Services (PDSES) program provides eligible Texas students with $1,500 in funding to purchase educational materials, tutoring, therapies, and other approved services.
Families can use PDSES funds with Deaft to access supports designed specifically for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students:
Academic tutoring tailored to DHH learners — instruction adapted to students’ preferred communication mode (ASL, spoken language, or total communication), visual learning strategies, and individualized pacing.
Communication and language support — language planning, receptive and expressive language development, sign language instruction, and home‑school communication strategies to strengthen language access across environments.
Executive functioning coaching — visual organizers, routines, self‑monitoring strategies, and task‑planning supports that reflect the needs of DHH students who may need alternative approaches to auditory‑based cueing.
Social‑emotional skill development — peer interaction supports, social language coaching, identity affirmation for Deaf culture, counseling adapted for language access, and strategies to reduce isolation and build resilience.
Specialized instructional services — itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TODHH) services, collaborative consults with classroom teachers, classroom accommodations and modifications, FM/DM and other hearing technology support, and access planning for inclusive settings.
Curriculum and learning materials — visually accessible materials, captioned multimedia, ASL video resources, tactile/kinesthetic supports, and differentiated content aligned to grade level standards.
Our goal is to help every DHH student build meaningful skills that support long‑term success in school and beyond by ensuring language access, individualized instruction, and coordinated family‑school plans. Deaft provides experienced TODHHs and ASL professionals and virtual services to make these supports available nationwide.
